Midnight on Memory Lane

{Debut Post!} Hello, Internet!

Hello, Internet, and good mornight to you all!

My name is Taffryne, and I'm the shoppekeeper here at Midnight on Memory Lane. From curios to keepsakes, we've got cabinets full of whatever you need to unlock those cherished moments that time left behind.

'Tis a pleasure to e-meet you!

Perhaps you find yourself wondering what-the-heck the shoppekeeper of a store that doesn't seem to actually exist is doing here on Bear Blog. Honestly, absolutely valid question.

Simply put, I'm just a tad lonely and hoping to curate a nice "third place" here in the digital space that goes beyond the niche group of my shoppe's regular clientele. Think of it like the book club of a library where we can all gather around and talk about our favourite tales while making new friends.

Given my shoppe's...unique circumstances, it's a bit tricky to create that kind of social event in-person; ergo, here I am on Bear Blog's corner of the internet!

Full disclosure, there's still a ton of background work regarding this blog and other logistical planning that I've got to knock out first. Much to my chagrin, I am indeed a wee bit behind schedule. However, I should have all the gears in motion by Tuesday, August 4th (...as long as I don't fall further behind schedule). If it's alright, I do most humbly request that you come check back in if I've somehow piqued your interest at all.

To that point, you might be wondering why I would bother doing my debut post /now/ when my blog isn't /actually/ ready. Respectfully, I specifically picked July 25th to be my debut date because it's both Christmas in July and National Carousel Day! That means that today is connected to both my favourite holiday and my favourite amusement park attraction since childhood! It was simply a too perfectly nostalgia-infused day for me to ignore, you know?

Admittedly, I am also just so excited to officially start this project of mine that I couldn't bear (hehe) the thought of pushing it back. I hope that's not too obnoxious.

You've also probably noticed by now that I can be quite the chatterbox, but hey, I guess if you're a blog fan, then just maybe you're into that!

That being said (or, well, typed), I should go ahead and end this debut post here so I can get back to the aforementioned behind-schedule bit (there's so, so much to do). I promise I'll have a much better explanation of what I'm trying to accomplish here in the next post!

I truly do hope that this is the beginning to something grand we'll experience together.

May we meet again when the clock strikes 12:00!
